  4. This program is provided AS-IS.

  6. I understand that I am downloading unsupported
  7. freeware software. That means I will not try
  8. to obtain technical support from Stardock. I also
  9. understand that this program makes no claims
  10. to accurately emulate or represent itself as a
  11. reasonable facsimile of any docks on other
  12. operating systems.

  19. Basic instructions / FAQ:
  20. -------------------------

  22. - Right click items on the dock to customize them
  23.  
  24. - Files and folders can be dragged onto the dock to create
  25. new items. This includes special folders like "My Computer".
  26.  
  27. - You can drag items off the dock to delete them or right-click
  28. on them to delete via menu.
  29.  
  30. - Click the "Configure ObjectDock" item or right-click a blank
  31. area of the dock to access Dock Properties.
  32.  
  33. - ObjectDock can read PNG image files, as well as 32-bit icon
  34. files in both Windows XP and Windows 2000. Images to be used
  35. in items can be put anywhere off the ObjectDock folder. ObjectDock
  36. will search its folders and all of its subfolders of it for images.
  37. It is recommended that you use subfolders to categorize your images,
  38. like the included Crystallized and LaST subdirs under the
  39. Images directory.

  41. - The Windows taskbar can be turned on or off via the dock settings dialog.
  42.  
  43. - Images can be assigned to windows based on the .EXE that they are running
  44. or the "class name" for the window. The more specific class name takes
  45. priority over the program file name in the event images have been set to both.
  46. (e.g. one for the mail program, and another for an email window)
  47.  
  48. - The dock will track mouse movement even if another window is maximized
  49. over the dock.
  50.  
  51. - You can configure ObjectDock via command line arguments. Replace n with a
  52. number (see descriptions for info) for the new status desired:

  54. objectdock.exe -ahn  (turn on/off autohide, n=0-off, n=1-on, n=2-toggle)
  55. objectdock.exe -psn (side position, n=0-bottom 1-top, 2-left, 3-right)
  56. objectdock.exe -pan (alignment position, n=1-left(top) 2-middle 3-right(bottom))
  57. objectdock.exe -mn (turn on/off mouse effect (magnification), n=0-off, n=1-on, n=2-toggle)

  59. - ObjectDock includes options to adjust the position of the dock, its alignment,
  60. z-order (normal, always on top, always on bottom), zoomer sizes, zoomer effects,
  61. and much much more!

  69. ObjectDock incorporates decompression code by the Info-ZIP group.

  71. There are no extra charges or costs due to the use of this code,
  72. and the original compression sources are freely available from
  73. ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/infozip/ on the Internet. We will also,
  74. upon request, mail you the full sources on a 3.5" MSDOS-formatted
  75. diskette for the cost of mailing.
